'Rose of Sharon'
This a deciduous shrub that grows 5 to 10 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide. Often cut and maintained as a single stemed bush. The alternate, coarsely toothed, smooth leaves, have 3 lobes, up to 3 inches long. Plants bloom on new growth, so prunning can be done any time during the year.
