'Rodger's Flower'
Flowering stems grow 3 to 4 feet tall and form plumes of pink to red colored flowers with a few plants having white flowers too. Over a few years plants will grow into clumps 2 to 4 feet wide with a few large leaves shaped like a deeply cut maple leaf. They have a wrinkled texture, rising up from a bulb like rootstock. Best in bright open shade in moisture retentive soils that are well draining. The better the moisture the more sun they will take. Very often with bronze tinted foliage. Mixes nicely with Hosta and Astilbe. Does not take that well to dry hot soils but does better that Ligularia in that a few hot dry days won't do them in.
Zone 4-8. Surface sow seeds and keep at 65-75F, germination starts in 10 days and can be spreadout over many months. Keep medium moist at all times.
50 seeds.
