'Orange Coneflower' or 'Black Eyed Susan' or 'Coneflower' (rud-BEK-ee-a: ful-GI-dah: spee-see-O-sa: new-MAN-ee-eye) can be found under the species name speciosa but now placed as a var of R. fulgida. This selction grows a bit shorter (12 to 14 inches) than 'Goldstrum' and has golden-yellow flowers with black centers. It is another late season bloomer too.

Native from these states in the USA: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Germination in less than three weeks at 72ºF. Surface sow seeds, light needed for best results.
