'Sweet Coneflower'
Plants have three inch wide yellow, daisy like flowers with brownish-purple center cones. Grows from 3 to 5 feet tall and is best in moisture retentive well draining soils in full sun. The plants are fragrant, thus the common name. A non spreading species blooming in mid summer. A showy native plant from Central and Eastern USA. Well worth growing in the back of the garden planted in groups of five plants spaced out 1.5 feet apart, or as a showy mass display along a fence line, plants bloom till frost.
