'Checker Mallow'
Another attrative species with tall stems from 2 to 4 feet. The flowers are a purple-pink (rose-magenta)color. The folaige is rounded at the base of the plants, and cut in the middle of the stems and close to the flowers the leaves are deeply cut and hand like with 7 or 8 fingers. Likes moist but well drained soils in full sun to part shade.
Zones 4-8. Native from western USA.
