'Carrion Flower'

An interesting plant for the shade garden. Grows 3-5 feet tall and have a semi-vining habit with attractive leaves. Green flowers in mid spring that for two or three days smell like rotted meat-they are fly pollinated-the scent is only noticeable if you stick your nose in the flowers. Dark blue berries are produced in the fall. This is another north American native wood land plant. I like the graceful habit and value it in my shade garden.

Zones 4-8. Sow out side in a sheltered location for Germination next year and the year after. Needs a few periods of alternating moist -warm 60 days and cold 90 days . Germination is spread out over a few years.

20 seeds.
