'Soapwort' or 'Bouncing Bet' Caryophyllaceae:
Double and semi double flowers in light pink on 3 foot tall plants. Attractive flower displays over many weeks from early to late summer. Plants spread by way of short underground runners, so use as a mass planting. Blooms heavily in late spring and has flowers into late summer. the sap was mixed with water to make a soap - thus the common name soap wort.
