(Sagina subulata) 'Irish Moss' or 'Pearlwort'
Plants grow less than 4 inches tall when in flower. They form a carpet of evergreen, tufted plants that are ½ inch or so tall. White flowers are produced on slender short stems. Nice for a rock wall or a paved stone path. The flowering period is June to September. Well drained, but moisture retentive soils, with some sun in the morning and open shade in the afternoon.
Zones 4-7. Native from western and central Europe. Use 55-60ºF, Germination should occure in 10-20 days, if not then put in fridge (30-39F).for four weeks.
