'Creeping Thyme' or 'Mother of Thyme' This herbaceous perennial grows 3 to 6 inches tall and forms sprawling clump 6 inches wide. Plants with shiny, aromatic dark green leaves and purplish pink flowers in summer. Grow in full sun to light shade, does best in well-drained light-textured soil with low fertility; will tolerates organic and clay soils if well drained and on the dry side.
