This is a hairy perennial Pea with bi-colored pink and yellow flowers. Plants have deep taproots making transplanting very difficult. Grow in full sun in prairie- type habitats. Soils should be well-draining and non-calcareous. Sandy soil works well for this dune species.

Zones 3-9. Native from the eastern half of the USA. Sow at 24-39ºF for 12 weeks, then move to 65ºF for germination.Sow in the fall and over winter outside for germination in the spring. This pea like plant has deep taproots, and should be started in place of growth or use deep cell pots and use quick draining soil medium, wet soil will cause root rot.

50 seeds.
