'Goat's Rue' or 'Virginia Goat's-rue' (tef-ROH-see-uh: vir-jin-ee-AN-uh)
This
is a hairy perennial Pea with bi-colored pink and yellow flowers. Plants have deep taproots
making transplanting very difficult. Grow in full sun in prairie- type habitats. Soils should be
well-draining and non-calcareous. Sandy soil works well for this dune species.

3-9. Native from the eastern half of the USA. This pea like plant has deep taproots, and should be
started in place of growth or use deep cell pots and use quick draining soil medium, wet soil will
cause root rot.
