This is the true wild species with yellow flowers, some with brown markings. Plants should be grown in moisture retentive soils in full sun, blooms late summer and early fall. Very attractive wild flower to butterflies and a nice addition to the lakeshore planting or along a pond. Use in full sun to part shade. Plants grow best amongst other dense plants, since some of the plants tend to be on the floppy side.
