Oxytropis lambertii has purple colored, bean like flowers on slender stems. It grows 1 to 3 feet tall. Each plant once established has a number of stems, blooming in early to mid summer. Loved by Monarch butterflies. Oxytropis lambertii has deep taproots and once established should not be moved.
It is native to the grasslands of central Canada and the mid-west and Great Plains of the United State
