[Alstroemeria aurea] Inca Lily or Peruvian Lily
Alstroemeria aurantiaca is summer flowering with spreading tuberous growth. Plants have narrow, twisted leaves and very showy orange colored flowers often tinted green at the tips. Widely grown as a cut flower. When in flower they reach a height of about 3 feet and a width of 18 inches.
Alstroemeria aurantiaca - Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours, changing the water every 6 hours with fresh warm water. Cover seeds and keep at 70-86F for three weeks then move to 35-42F for four weeks. Move to 65-74F Germination in 2-30 weeks The species is native to Chile and Argentina.
