Plants with grey-tinted, felty textured foliage and many bell shaped light blue colored flowers. Plants grow about a foot and half tall and bloom mid to late summer. This species has some of the largest seeds in the genus, other species can be nearly dust like. Good plants for a rock garden or used in a perennial border. Forms a good sized taproot. Flowers the year after sowing. best grown in a sunny location with well-draining soils.
