Spring blooming plants that have a spreading habit with masses of flowers in red. Does very well on dry banks, walls and the rock garden. Plants are 4 to 6 inches tall when in bloom and spread out to be 10-20 inches wide. Does best in light shade in the south and full sun in the north. Zones (4)5-8. In zone 4 give then a light, dry winter mulch. Very Large red flowers on trailing plants, a nice selection. Surface sow seeds, light needed for best germination, Use 75F, germination is spread out over many weeks. I have had good successes sealing the pots up in a plastic bag to keep the humidity high until the seeds germinate.
