Catbells (bap-TIZ-ee-ah: per-fo-lee-AY-ta)
This south eastern North American native has blue grey colored leaves that are rounded with the stems passing threw them, giving them an eucalyptus look. Plants have yellow flowers in mid summer. Very different and attractive in the landscape, the stems are lax and when grow well form a cascading mound. Likes full sun and soils that are on the sandy side, instead of heavy soils.
