A consistent seed strain with red flowers produced in March to May Slowly spreading rhizomatous clumps grow 18 inches or so wide. Mostly evergreen, round, leathery leaves with undulating edges and great late fall and winter color with Spectacular reddish colored foliage. Height when in full flower is around 24 inches, but the folaige forms mounds of leaves that are from 6 to 10 inches tall. One of the first flowers of the year to bloom.
Surface Sow at 75-80F, light helps germination in 7-35 days.
