Squarrose Knapweed Asteraceae:

Blue and violet colored flower that resemble Centaurea montana, the undivided foliage is covered with silver hairs and resembles a mullin. This species grows about a foot tall and maybe 2 feet wide, flowering in late spring and early summer. Grow in full sun, in a soil with some lime is added. Centaurea triumfettii is moderately salt tolerant and a good cut flower.


Native to the mountainous areas of southern and central Europe.
