An attractive species with greenish yellow flowers on 2 foot tall stems. Blooms early spring. Large flat seeds that are easy to sow.
Soak seeds of Fritillaria raddeana in warm water for 24 hours, change the water after 12 hours. Sow and very thinly cover seeds with soil medium and keep at room temp for one week, move the below 38F with germination starting in 8 to 12 weeks. Cold germinator. Keep seed trays for 2 years as some seeds may not germinate the first year but will germinate the second year after another cold period.
