This is a carpet forming species that grows 4 inches tall when in bloom, the flowers form small clusters of felt that are silver white. This species likes some moisture in the soil durring the summer but dry over the winter. Grows best to offer it a little shade during the hottest times of the year.
Leontopodium souliei is native to the western grass lands of China. Sow the seeds of Leontopodium souliei on top of an already moist soil medium and keep moist and use 65-75F for 4 weeks, then move to the fridge for 5 weeks, after five weeks move to 45-55F for germination. Or sow in a large pot or tray and keep out side in a sheltered location in fall for germination in the spring.
