Lavandula angustifolia 'Min Blue' produces uniform plants that are compact, well-branched and do not need trimming. Plants grow 8-12 inches tall with lavender blue flowers and silver-gray foliage. Use as a cut flower or even dried. Makes an attractive short hedge with fragrant foliage. Long blooming period from late spring throughout summer. Blooms the first year in just 4-6 months after germination, best flowering after a cool dormancy period. Plant in full sun in poor soils that are well draining. In the north plants will not over winter in moist soils. Fleuroselect novelty winner for its compactness in habit.
