Purple-violet or sometimes creamy-yellow flowers. Here is a spring-blooming Primrose species with very attractive and much loved fragrant flowers. The deciduous plants go dormant in late summer. Grow Primula sinopurpurea in rich, loamy soils with good drainage but remaining moist. The best looking plants are grown in bright shade, the further north they are grown the more sun they will take.
Surface sow the seeds and use 2 weeks at 65F, Then move to the 24-38F for four or five weeks. Sow and keep at F 55 for germination. Use 3 warm (65-80F) 5 weeks cold (30-39f) and 55-65F for germination.
