(fy-teh-YOO-muh: SHOYK-zer-ee) Campanulaceae:
A relative of the Bellflowers and an excellent rock garden or edging plant which forms a tufts of narrow blue-green leaves. The low growing plants are evergreen mounds with taller flowering stems that hold clusters of spiky ball-shaped, deep-blue flowers. Blooming occurs in early summer. Prefers a rich, moist soil with good drainage but tolerant of other soil also.
