The species name refers to the 'Elder' like leaves. Rodgersia sambucifolia has Astilbe-like creamy-white colored flowers in plumes that look great with other large shade lovers. Plants are 30 inches tall when in bloom over large leaves, flowering in July.
Surface sow the seeds of Rodgersia sambucifolia and keep at 65-75F, germination starts in 10 days and can be spread out over many months. Keep medium moist at all times.
