[Euthamia graminifolia] Flat Top Goldenrod or Flat-topped Bushy Goldenrod or Lance-leaved Goldenrod Asteraceae:
This Goldenrod grows up to 3 feet tall, with thin grass-like foliage. This species has flat-topped flower heads with yellow flowers in late summer and fall. Much liked by butterflies and other insects. Prefers moist soils. Best used in a meadow, butterfly or wildflower garden because it can spread when happy. Plants are much more attractive than the picture would indicate.
Native to northern and eastern USA and southern Canada.
