Rose pink colored flowers. The clusters of flowers are excellent for cutting, though not scented like the annual sweet-pea. Long lived perennial plants that grow 8 to 12 feet tall, used for climbing on a fence or pole. Long blooming plants that will sprawl along the ground and twine onto other plants and objects. Use in borders or as a ground cover on slopes and embankments. They can be used as a trailing display over rocky ledges and walls, or grown up embankments and steep hills. Best plants in full sun to half day shade, adaptability to soil, even rocky ones. Best looking plants are grown in cool, fertile, organic soils where the summers are cool. Provide even moisture and regular fertilizer throughout the growing season. Seeds are large and easy to sow, but they have a hard seed-coat and are best soaked in hot water just before sowing. Plants will bloom the second year.
