Black Eyed Susan
Bright yellow gold colored flowers that bloom over a long period in summer and early fall. An upright, rhizomatous, clump-forming perennial. Great selection used as a mass planting or in containers. Deadhead to prolong blooming and divide clumps every few years. Easy to grown in average to dry soils in full sun. Tolerates hot and humid summers and some drought. Since this is a seed raised selection, there is some variation in plants, but the plants produced are reliable and consistent. The true 'Goldsturm' is a vegetatively propagated selection, but most plants now on the market are seed raised.
